INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WINDER, GEORGIA
PHASE 1 IMPROVEMENTS
Bids for the WIMBERLY CENTER: PHASE 1 IMPROVEMENTS project will be received at the Winder Housing Authority’s (hereinafter, the “Agency”) Office located at 163 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Winder, GA 30680, until 3:00 P.M. Monday, December 9, 2019. The project consists of improvements to the Agency’s property. Bids will be reviewed by the Agency’s administration and will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the IFB, is the lowest in price. A copy of the bid tabulation will be made available to all bidders.
Work to Be Performed: The work to be performed by the General Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following major items:
1. Minor grading and drainage.
2. Construction of a new barn with a gravel driveway and parking lot.
3. Construction of a small stage and custom benches with gravel walkways and landscaping.
4. Installation of electrical service for the barn as well as lighting for the stage and minor site lighting and electrical for the courtyard.
5. Minor site work.
The Agency has pre-purchased some of the material needed for the project and will coordinate delivery of those items. Some of the items will be installed by a third-party contractor. Others will be installed as part of this general contract. This information is further defined and clarified in the “Instructions to Bidders” and the Construction Plans.
A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Winder Housing Authority, 163 M.L.K. Jr. Drive, Winder, GA 30680. The conference is not mandatory, but attendance is strongly encouraged.
Bidders are required to send an email to Mr. Mitch Lynn at email@example.com, to indicate their intent to submit a bid. Any addenda will be sent to the email address provided by the Bidder(s). Specifications and Contract Documents: Digital copies (PDFs) of the Specifications and Contract Documents will be available for download from the Agency’s website and may be obtained on compact disc from the Agency’s office, starting on Monday, November 18, 2019. The email, street address, phone number, and fax number of Contractors submitting proposals must be provided to ensure prompt delivery of any addenda.
